The work focused on capturing accurate as-built geometric data from existing turbine components to support engineering evaluation, redesign, and future manufacturing or assessment activities.
Geothermal steam turbine components operate under high temperature, corrosive, and erosive environments, which can cause dimensional changes, wear, and loss of original geometry over time.
In many cases, original OEM drawings are unavailable or no longer representative of actual conditions. This project was initiated to establish an accurate and traceable digital reference of existing turbine components.
